Bihar Dominate in karate with 17 medals won

Karate players of Bihar won the hearts of the first Honorable Sports Minister of Bihar, Shri Jitendra Rai ji and Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority, Shri Ravindran Shankaran by winning 17 medals, more than all other sports, in the 67th National School Karate Competition.

Karate players can also get a chance under Bring Medal, Get Job! Along with 6 medals in Under 14 years, 6 medals in Under 17 years and 3 medals in Under 19 years of age Category. 2 players from Bihar won 2 medals while playing on behalf of CISCE.

Winning the medal has brought glory to the state. Under-19 age group of karate competition

  • Md. Sameer won bronze medal in 58-62 kg weight category,
  • Manjeet Kumar won Bronze medal in 40-45 kg weight category and
  • Aparajita Singh won bronze medal in weight category above 68 kg.

Atul , General Secretary Pankaj Kambli, Treasurer Suraj , Assistant under 19 Bihar team boys coach Mukesh Kumar Mishra and girls coach Saloni Kumari.
